When I was in Vietnam on my bachelorette trip, the HaLong bay Cruise was one of the things that was topped my to-do list.

Halong Bay features approximately 2000 islets made of limestone deposits and is a 3 hour drive from the country capital. Many one-day and multi day tours are available and the one that we booked costed us $100, which according to me was totally worth the cost.

I skedaddled to grab this window-side bed which gave me a stupendous view of the bay.

Lounging at the cruise deck, enjoying the breath-taking beauty, feeling close to nature.

First Stop — TiTop Island, which was named after Ghermann Titov — A soviet union war hero.

At first, I was just not keen to trek up the hillock, but my friend convinced me to do it. Must say that I was thankful that I took his advice.[/caption]

Kayaking among the islets.

Busting the myth that vegetarians cannot survive in South East Asia, but everything on this table was pure vegetarian and this was one of the tastiest and most memorable meals ever!

Sung Sot (Surprise) Caves are formed due to limestone deposits. The formations that start from the ceiling and grow downwards are called stalactites and the ones that ascend from below are called Stalacmites. The brilliant lighting in these caves make them an appealing sight.

Downtime at the deck!

The chef-on-board taught us to make some no-frills, no-heat spring rolls.

That’s me beaming after my splendid Bay-cation!
