Reality Will Sting, But You Should Not Let It Poison Your Life

We think it will improve on its own, until it doesn’t. You had a chance to move out, to talk, to set boundaries, and to keep things pleasant, but you did not do it earlier, and it got to a point where the only way out is to break everything apart and run away.

You let it get messy, not because you didn’t want to solve the problem, but rather you deny its existence and tell stories that it is not what it is, yet it was what it was.

Recently, I have been through something I constantly denied when it was happening. Till I reached the point where it was no longer optional to stay silent, I brought it on the person. When things could be settled early on with peace, it became a source of tension, and a series of hateful arguments were spewed.

Facing reality is painful; realizing that your friendship is becoming toxic is equally painful, but hoping that things will heal themselves is like turning a blind eye to warning signs. Sometimes you get so immersed in a situation that you forget about it at all, your true self goes hiding somewhere, and you start to doubt yourself.

You become the perpetrator of chaos in comfortable misery created by others for you.
