JoyPass #OSTa3 Challenge — Halfway Updates
It was two weeks since the day we started with the challenge to embed ostWallet into JoyPass to replace our current transaction & balance system. You may want to take a look on our previous updates here.
Today we want to give some updates on the way we’re using ostWallet to take care of one of the most important part in our system. This is also a part of the OST Alpha III challenge that we’re participating.

Why We Join #OSTa3?
Transaction processing and balance system are the two most important parts of any systems that have a bank-like feature. The same to us, in JoyPass, each object(merchant owners, users) will have their own wallet and every action will be tokenized into JOY-currency. That will be a lot of works to build a trusted banking system and make it runs smoothly with thousand transactions per second. So that’s why we looked into ostWallet & Ledger solution and we decided to join the challenge to evaluate ostWallet & Ledger features and performance.
What’s We Have Done So Far
We’re continuing to develop and improve product after the OST Alpha II Contest. Here are what we have done so far since the beginning of OST Alpha III.
- Adjust/Improve UI to adopt new changes from Transactions/Balance feature and add more cool features. The most important feature that we get inspired after looking into OST token API is the feature that allows users to see their current balance in USD.
2. We mostly have done integrating OST balance & Ledger API into JoyPass. So from now on, there is will be no internal wallet in JoyPass (as we did before). Each user will have only one wallet which is ostWallet address. We’re testing and continuing to make changes to the core features.
3. We’re also changing the JoyPass transaction mechanism to improve it.
What’s We Are Trying to Get Done Before The Challenge Ends
- Finish testing & evaluating embed wallet
- Get features done, here are our top priority features that we expected to be delivered as soon as possible
- Redeem token to Gift card/Gadgets.
- Allow users to withdraw their token or even convert to USD and withdraw to their PayPal account.
- Improve UI & Performance.
