JoyPass & OST Kit Alpha Phase III Update #1— First Looks on Ledger API(s)
OST Alpha III Challenge Accepted
The team is so excited with the new challenge of OST Alpha III. In this OST Alpha III, we will try to embed OST Wallet into our current system to test its features and to see which solution is the best for our users. Here are some updates from our team and our feeling in the last few days and what we are going to do next.
Our Objectives
- Integrate ostWallet into current system.
- Make use of ostWallet and OST platform to secure transactions and prevent frauds.
- Improve UX, features to make the app more useful (such as real time convert balance to USD as below).
As in the screenshot above, our merchant’s owners now are able to see the value of JOY tokens that they are holding in USD. The price is based on the current price of OST which was retrieved from API /token.
We also took a look at the Ledger API to retrieve user’s transactions and we have found something we need to integrate as our wallet. However, we still think that current ledger API is very basic and our developers still need more to finish integrating into our system. Following are features that we have submitted as feedbacks/requests to the team
- Currently, we don’t have any API that returns the number of total transactions for a certain wallet. That’s necessary for us to analysis or making reports and we may also need for pagination in some cases.
- We also should be able to filter transactions on Ledger API. For now, the API only allows us to filter by status, but I think it would be nice if we can do filtering by more criteria such as by date range, by sender or recipient,…
- It would be nice if we can have more informations when request to /token API such as the number of total transactions, total token of our BT economy,…
What We’re Building Next
We’re continuing to integrate ostWallet to our features for merchant owner and mobile apps. In following weeks, we will focus on this task and also try to get the Gift Store feature done.
