Are you feeling lost or confused on how you should start, where and what you should look for, what you should read to be able be to win the JSPF scholarship?

First of all, congratulations on applying for the JSPF scholarship. This program aims to provide you with extraordinary benefits, whether you are looking to explore your interests, build your potential, or empower your academic and career goals. Winning the scholarship is an exciting opportunity, but it can also be a challenging journey. It is completely normal to feel lost or off-track during the application process.

As Prospective Applicants, it’s natural to wonder on how to get started or the Requirements, Timeline, of the application process or what a Mid-year checkpoint is? If you head to the JSPF website, you can find everything you need to know under the Prospective Applicants section.

Once you familiarise yourself with the process of application, it is important for you to have a checklist of all the documents that you will need to submit as a part of your application.

To qualify as a JSPF Scholarship applicant, you must go through the following process:

  1. Participate in an online or onsite contest conducted during the current academic year.
  2. Complete a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) that are of duration more than 4 weeks or 20 hours during the current academic year. Suggested platforms for MOOC are EDX and Coursera.
    📝 Note: MOOC are free online courses available for anyone to enrol. You are not required to purchase the verified certificate upon completion of the course. However, proof of course completion will be necessary.
  3. You also need to compose the following essays:
  • Compose a 1-page long project abstract to a project that spans over a period of 4 weeks or more undertaken during the current academic year. It can be a hobby project or for an organisation of your choice. (Refer Brownie Points Section)
  • Essay for Yourself explain the pivotal moments during your scholarship application process that helped you explore and achieve clarity about yourself. (Maximum 750 words)
  • Essay for Community that elucidates on a prevailing problem in your college / university. (Maximum 500 words)
  • Essay for Society discussing a current trend/issue in the world and provide original personal insights on the impact it has on various other aspects of the society (economy, business, environment, psychology, etc). (Maximum 750 words)

    Note: During the process of writing essays if you took words, ideas, figures, images, etc. from another place, provide credits to the authors and creators as sign of respect. This process is known as Citation.
