Winners of the Poki × JS13K post-comp jam!

The results of our little post competition jam with Poki are here! Check the three games (out of submitted 22) that the Poki team picked as the ones fitting their platform the most.

Those games are:

1. 13
2. Dead Again
3. The Neatness

The authors of the winning entries are getting a guaranteed $500 each - congratulations, and thanks to all who participated!

Let’s have a closer look at the winning entries and the feedback they received:

13

Our winner was 13 from Elias Ku. Between the gameplay, graphics, and even local multiplayer, 13 was the most polished game we played. The fast pace of the action helped by the amazing weapons makes this an incredibly fun to play game. We really enjoyed playing 13 and really look forward to working together!

Dead Again

Dead Again from Lax Viking is a really nicely made dungeon crawler showing how simplicity can be well utilized. The disappearing arena as you walk around, the inability to see where the next enemy is, and the simple shooting all lend a hand in making this a super interesting game!

The Neatness

Finally, The Neatness from Mark Vasilkov. We have not played a game like this before and it was really cool to play around in. The concept is simple but really well executed with a variety of game aspects to keep it interesting. You can get through the levels quick enough but they are all really fun. Nice job!

That’s it - the winners will be contacted by the Poki team (via email provided when submitting an entry to js13kGames 2022) to set things up. I hope you all had fun participating, and don’t forget about the upcoming Gamedev.js Jam 2023 in April!
