I’ve focused on the playful systems variant of this project, because I don’t think I would have time to properly execute and do research for the everyday magic project in two weeks, but here’s some of my work for that portion of the project.

I want to follow a design framework that I’ve used in the past in order to explore this concept in a way that is structure and familiar for me.

  2. In what situations has technology diminished the pleasure of an interaction, rather than enhancing it?
  3. respect for human capabilities and preferences and fit our human bodies and minds.
  4. We are looking for a well-considered design that creates simple powerful moments.
  5. What are those everyday problems and opportunities that you see around you?
  6. What analog objects could be improved with a layer of thoughtful and relevant new technology?
  7. focus on small interactions that you can improve in a massive way.
  8. The key to this challenge lies in identifying seemingly small problems in your context and creating lasting solutions that will contribute to people’s quality of life.
  9. Through your proposal we hope you will find ways of redefining our relationship with technology, by imagining it without the constant tensions of “push” and “pull” but rather as timely and delightful.
