Children’s Lit from ‘Shithole’ Countries

It’s impossible to escape the news that Trump referred to African nations, Haiti, and El Salvador as ‘shithole countries’. I’m always searching for new children’s lit and I’ve asked around for recommendations on African, Haitian, and El Salvadoran books. A couple of articles have compiled interesting lists and I thought I’d share them here. If you recommend anything in particular, please let me know in the comments or via email.
