At JetBlue Technology Ventures (JTV), we believe in supporting our portfolio companies beyond just a financial investment. That is why this year we introduced the JTV Platform at our annual Portfolio Summit. Through the Platform, founders can access support in five key areas: community and network, marketing and communications, operations and business development, financial, and administrative. While we’ve always offered these services as part of our investment commitment, this is the first year that we’ve formalized the program, ensuring that current portfolio companies know what to expect and future investments recognize the strategic value we bring to the table.
Community and Network: Our founders are invited to participate in an annual Portfolio Summit with the JTV team, where we cover current and future state of the industry and provide participants the opportunity to engage. We’ve also created a JTV Slack channel exclusively for our portfolio company founders to network or find business assistance.
Marketing and Communications: As our portfolio companies build their brand and voice, we’re here to amplify it. This includes counsel regarding social media, external media relations, and strategic initiatives.
Operations and Business Development: We assist our portfolio in finding potential clients and designing proof of concepts. Additionally, we provide advice in how to interact and connect with other key travel industry players.
Financial: We provide post-investment help in navigating fundraising, planning for the next round, and structuring company financial goals and strategy.
Administrative: We offer our founders an easy-to-access online database to provide the latest resources in startup management. Our portfolio companies can also take advantage of an internal hiring portal to advertise open positions on the JTV website. JTV’s office space in San Carlos is available for use on an as-needed basis.
