Summer Sourcing Week 2020 is a one-stop sourcing online platform for buyers and suppliers to continue exploring business opportunities in industries including lighting, electronics, ICT, medical & healthcare, houseware, fashion, home textiles & furnishings, gifts & premium as well as printing & packaging. We’re extremely grateful to have the opportunity to partner with Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) for one of the region’s largest and successful fully virtual event.

The safety of exhibitors and buyers has always been a priority for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). Considering the current development of the coronavirus outbreak, and in line with the health measures taken by the government, a decision was made by the organiser to shift from a Hybrid setup to a full Virtual expo.
To support this direction, we deployed Jublia’s scalable platform that allowed attendees to interact with sessions, exhibitors and products easily. The event was powered by Match 360° Virtual with our own proprietary 1-to-1 video meeting to support the thousands of scheduled virtual meetings.
The robust involvement from HKTDC’s team who tirelessly facilitated each individual meetings across the end-to-end meetings platform assured the audiences; many of whom are attending a virtual expo for the first time. Such robust facilitation has ensured the matchmaking success at this event.

We experienced a high user adoption rate for Summer Sourcing Week 2020 of over 80%. Jublia was well prepared for the scale and ensured that platform access was smooth for each audience.

Over 100,000 meeting requests were sent, showcasing the immense interest to engage in top-level networking. These results have boosted our confidence that we’re moving in the right direction.

Of the 4-week virtual event engagement campaign, we facilitated over 150,000 platform visits that garnered above 500,000 profile views. This is a huge validation to the relevance of the event for the audience. The extremely high engagement means that each user is coming on the platform at least 15 times over 4 weeks.
