About the role
Judge Research seeks economists, computer scientists or political economists with excellent coding skills. The right candidate will have considered getting a Clive Granger tattoo at some point, has a certain love of Github, and knows crypto asset markets well.
This position is open only to PhDs or doctoral candidates from top-25 programs. It entails working with the best firms and funds in the crypto space in an academic environment that encourages original content creation. Long hours are expected, but first ten employee startup-level upside is mixed in with six weeks paid time off to make it worth it.
It is likely that you will not find another position where you will be working so clearly at the frontier of human knowledge about novel social processes. It is necessary for you to understand you are joining a startup, which entails much more responsibility, flexibility and team spirit than a trading floor where they return your shoes shined at your desk.
An ability to write well and handle client-facing meetings is important. Mandarin speaking a plus.
