Experience after 30 days
Here are some interesting metrics and thoughts from 30 consecutive days of using Just Shopping. Over the last month we have not used any alternatives to track shopping lists. Here are the final thoughts of the experience.
Day 11–30
- 14 new items
- 2 new tags
- 2 set items as purchased
- 4 edits on items
- 2 deleted
Honourable thoughts
- Hit the share button extra step a couple more times again. Would be really great if I could long press and copy the link without going thought the link and then sharing it through Safari
- Saved a link to a recipe and it rendered the image of cheesecake, I know I am not buying it. But gosh that looks good.
- Many duplicates from the 10-day experience kept appearing throughout the 30-day period
Next Step Musts
Over the last 30 days, Just Shopping has successfully been there to log and track purchasing things. However, there are some lacking features that are must-haves for the next update.
Must #1: Sharing a saved link requires an extra step — you must click the link and use Safari’s share button instead of having direct sharing.
Must #2: The To Buy list needs better organization — currently it’s just a long list of tagged items mixed together. Quick filtering options would help.
Must #3: Adding shortcuts to the share menu would make adding items to Just Shopping much faster
