It wasn’t featured on the front page of the MLB.com site, but my sign still made it on the MLB official blog!

Recently, the wife & I visited Denver to watch the A’s play the Colorado Rockies. When I learned that Bartolo Colon was the starting pitcher on the day of our Coors Field visit, I spent a few hours the night before to create this new poster from scratch.

Colon was originally a Yankees pitcher. When I was looking for high resolution photos of him on Google Image Search, his photo in pinstripes was the best photo I could find. It took me more than three hours to convert his Yankee jersey to an Athletics one, a big bulk of my time was removing the pinstripes by hand:

Conveniently, there were a few Costco stores in the area. As with my other posters, I sent my print order to them & they had the large poster ready to be picked up on gameday.

I brought it to the ballpark & got a lot of attention for it. The Rockies film crew put me in front of the camera, & I got a lot of smiles from the few A’s fans in attendance. Before the game, a Rockies social media staffer came up to me with a Flipcam & asked me about the poster. He uploaded that video, & now I’m on the MLB.com site, yet again! So awesome!
