Building the right Payment System for Artists was hard for us. Especially when they are already big businesses, like Spotify, who have thousands of artists. And a working ecosystem, until now.

But we decided against those business models, because they have a big problem. No Fairness & Fraud. That is why our streaming service based on a user-centric payment system (UCPS).

Jukebox wants artists to be paid fairly.

Under this user-centric model, the royalties from the subscription you pay only go to the artist you love and listen to.

Prevent Fraudulent Accounts.

Streaming farms are a relatively new concept and were created to specifically take advantage of streaming platforms like other music streaming services. Streaming farms artificially inflate the number of listens of a song. Those streaming farms have a big influence in which artists will make the big money or not.

With UCPS, fraudulent accounts will not add any weight when calculating royalties. This means that all the money goes to real artists. Every stream will make a real difference for every artist.

In an article by Vice, one of their journalists William Bedell managed to create his own streaming farm that simulated thousands of fake listeners.
