There’s a lot to love this Summer if you’re an esports fan, which, if you’re getting this newsletter, I’ll go out on a limb to say is the case. So take a break from ranked VALORANT this weekend and tune into one (or several) of these big events:

Top Tier: VALORANT’s Biggest Tournament Yet 🌟

I’ll be honest with you, VALORANT has gotten off to a slower start than I had expected.

By all estimations, that changes this weekend with the $50,000 T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown. This tournament is sure to bring the hype because it features a flawless combination of the top teams in VALORANT, via qualification and invite, and influencers.

A few highlighted players/teams to watch:

Brax, Skadoodle | T1 — Two of NA CS:GO’s biggest stars, and the hosts of the tournament with a title to defend.

TenZ | Cloud9 — If you haven’t, look up any TenZ clip in existence, and you’ll know why he’s on the list.

Ninja | Team Ninja — From Fortnite to Valorant, there’s nothing that will stop Ninja from staying in the competitive scene.

Subroza | Team SoloMid — Coming right out of CS:GO’s Flashpoint Season 1 bracket, Subroza has hit the ground running in Valorant.

ShahZaM, sinatraa, dapr | Sentinels — Two CS:GO legends and an Overwatch League MVP, Sentinels look absolutely stacked going into this tournament.

Huynh, PLAYER1 | Gen.G Esports — Another two familiar faces from CS:GO, these two will show that ESEA is the perfect training ground for tournaments like this.

This is THE event to watch this weekend as it will set the tone for VALORANT esports for the rest of 2020.
