Hello! Nowadays, people often use written types of communication, both in everyday life and in business communication. Now I want to tell you about the peculiarities of some of these forms.

Types of written communication:

  1. Letter

It is a traditional and widespread type of communication. It is customary to use a letterhead with the logo, full name, postal and telegraph addresses.

2. Advertising banners, ads

In a market economy, the role and volume of advertising communications are increasing.

Advertising texts should be, first of all, attractive in form and content. They are required to be concise, informative and accessible.
The main requirements for printed advertising are the compatibility of color and font scales, the possibility of a holistic perception of the composition of various images (trademarks, emblems, photographs and drawings). Phrases or information that offend the honor and dignity of other producers, intermediaries, and sellers are not allowed.

Commercial advertisements are made according to a certain standard: a list of products sold, the address of the store and company, additional information (working days and hours, convenient access routes, warranty services, etc.).

3. Greeting card/ postcard

A postcard is a real gift with a story for any holiday. It can be varied in performance, design, type of paper, printing, and the presence of decor.

4. SMS/ Text message

SMS messages have become so popular that more and more people of different ages are faced with the need to communicate in the language of SMS. We communicate with them both in social networks and in various messengers. Features of this type of communication are:

  • frequent non-compliance with spelling;
  • abbreviations, reductions;
  • emojis and various emoticons.

3. Email

Email is the most popular way of communication today.

The main requirements for these types of communication are:

  • brevity, clarity of the text content;
  • registration in accordance with the official rules;
  • absence of difficult-to-pronounce words and complex phrases.

Here is an example of a business email.
