After waiting years for Beck’s new album to come out after he released the single “Dreams” in 2015, I was very happy when it finally dropped in October 2017, and even more ecstatic to hear that he is going on tour!

While not the biggest Beck fan prior to 2015, I fell in love with his single “Dreams” and was so excited to hear his next album when it was released, which was being billed as a “happy” album versus some of his more somber offerings in the past. Overall, I love Colors and think the album as a whole is great.

(Yes — I’m one of those people who still regularly buys albums and not only singles on iTunes. You miss so many good “non-radio” songs if you only buy individual songs and I still think the album of a concept is an important work of art that should be appreciated in its entirety.)

While I like every song on the album, “Colors,” “Seventh Heaven,” “No Distraction,” and “Dreams” (the original song — not the Colors remix) are my favorites.

After tickets went on sale Tuesday morning to fan club members (which I’m not), I was able to buy two seats in the fourth row (!!!) via Stub Hub and am very excited to see them at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston on Sunday, July 15th!
