Last week, the nominees for the 9th Annual Shorty Awards were announced. The Shorty Awards honor the best of social media by recognizing the top influencers on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine and all your other favorite platforms. Today, we take a deeper look at some of our favorite nominees for Instagrammer of the Year.
Celebsonsandwiches is an Instagram account that features caricatures of celebrities on top of or with a sandwich. Each drawing is an amazingly accurate representation of the talent. It is a creative and entertaining account with original content that can be enjoyed by every follower.
Casey McPerry uses his Instagram to post beautiful photographs. He takes advantage of the Instagram layout and posts multiple pictures which then form one bigger photo. McPerry also engages in sponsored posts one being videos he took for Audi. Each video also comes together like a puzzle, contributing to the overall picture being built on his account.
Mari Andrew creates sketches in order to outline daily scenarios. However, each situation is creatively depicted such as “The Weather Report” where she describes the various things you should drink based on the current weather. The majority of the posts are sketches, however she will post pictures of herself in the studio to show her followers her authenticity.
Stephen McMennamy is a creative artist on Instagram who combines photography in order to make interesting pieces of work. For example, a few of his posts feature a paintbrush whose bristles turn into angel hair pasta with tomato sauce. His original content changes each day and his followers can enjoy the various work.
