SciDex’s core leadership team of four successful startup entrepreneurs saw a problem. Smart contracts have great potential, but they are only a basic building block. Creating a useable smart contract for most applications requires a great deal of technical sophistication and bespoke connections to external structures. Smart contracts are not readable by humans and are not legally enforceable on their own.
The SciDex Protocol enables users to automatically generate unforgeable, compliant, human readable and adaptable smart contracts at scale via plain text input. This empowers mainstream businesses to use smart contracts for all kinds of business transactions.
The protocol offers an artificial intelligence oracle that translates plain text into Ricardian Adaptive Smart Contracts (RASCs). RASCs transcend the abilities of basic smart contracts in two significant ways: both humans and machines can read them, and they can include instructions for self-adaptation, changing automatically in response to external input. Thus RASCs offer the security and reliability of ordinary smart contracts on the blockchain coupled with readability, flexibility, and interactivity to serve complex real-world needs.
The SciDex protocol offers three features to allow businesses to harness the power of RASCs easily without any special technical knowledge. The SciDex Knowledge Base will contain sorted and indexed pre-existing, parseable contracts. The SciDex Smart Analyzer is an AI that recognizes patterns and learns from features of existing human and machine-readable contracts. The Scidex Contract Builder takes user input, then consults the Knowledge Base and the Smart Analyzer to write a contract template, allowing the user to create custom RASCs without any special technical knowledge.
While SciDex’s Ricardian Adaptive Smart Contracts are legally enforceable, SciDex recognizes that Jur offers a much faster alternative on the blockchain that costs a lot less than conventional “justice”.
