Deadly Mistakes You Should Avoid To Build Your Confidence #3

Last time I covered mistake #2 people make in regards to self confidence. The mistake I’m covering in #3 is a mistake that’s difficult for many of us to avoid.
If you haven’t read #1 and #2, you can read them both below.
Self Confidence Mistakes #2
So let’s get straight to it.
The 3rd mistake to avoid on your self confidence journey is….
#3 Getting caught up in your EGO.
“If someone corrects you, and you feel offended, then you have an EGO problem.” — Nouman Ali Khan
The simple way to define ego is being too attached to something.
Like when a guy bullshits himself into thinking he can charm every girl on the planet. Only to be rejected and put in his place. (Ouch)
Or like the horror stories of people building successful businesses, losing it all, then committing suicide because of it.
If your self confidence is built around your ego, even the smallest thing will bruise it. And the bigger things will have the potential to do a dangerous amount of damage.
As a result, you’ll feel like a lump of dog shit on the pavement each and every time.
To avoid any of those crazy scenarios driven by your ego:
- Learn to detach yourself from certain outcomes.
- Be logical, NOT emotional.
- Be OK with not being perfect. Perfection doesn’t exist.
- Be OK with not always being “right”.
By the way, this takes serious practice and effort. As long as you know that and are willing to put in the work, you’ll do your self confidence a favor over the long-term.
