With you on the many ambitions and perils of simple, Ev. But I’d say technology falls in the realm of the complicated: lots of parts, but with repeatable, programmable steps. From there, we swivel to face complexity, with its near limitless variables and hard-to-predict results. That’s the world where humans live: organic, and evolving. AI aspires to cross into that domain, its algorithms seeking to better emulate our seemingly imperfect (but in fact contextual) decisions. So what lies beyond our programmable instructions for robots? I’d offer knowledge perhaps; but almost certainly some creative flavors of wisdom, emotion, instinct and intuition. One thing for sure: the future will be a fascinating place. None of it easy. But worth it, I think. Thanks for sharing your thoughts ..
