7 Things Indonesia Do Better Than Japan
As Indonesian who lived in Japan before, most of my friends always said that living there is much better compared to Indonesia. There are lots and lots of things that Japan outrun Indonesia, but do you know there are some aspects that Indonesia is better than Japan?

Summer Everyday
Hey people! We have summer everyday, yeah! Because of our geographical location, we enjoy summer 365 days every year. If you ask any Indonesian, they won’t appreciate this at first, but if they stuck up in winter for 3 whole months, we are totally grateful for it.
< 2 >
Bigger Space
Our living space is bigger, wider, and spacious compared to most houses in Japan. Other than the size of the island, it’s also due to Japan’s preservation towards it’s nature in the country side.

Shopping Malls
We don’t have that much place to go for outdoor recreation that’s why many businesses invest a lot into the shopping malls. Especially in Jakarta, you can find a lot of amazing malls with different concepts. You can find shopping malls nearly everywhere in the big city.

Cheaper cinemas
It costs a lot just to watch a movie in Japan. Meanwhile it cost half of it here. I don’t understand why they cost so much while the chair doesn’t feel that comfortable. The other great thing is, we don’t have to wait for the credit roll to finish to leave the theatre once the movie is over.

Tropical Fruits
A lot of tropical fruits have bunch of vitamins and you can get it so cheap that you take everything for granted. In the contrary though, fruits like lemon, peach, or fruits that grows in the subtropical countries, cost more.

Flavour Varieties
While I was in Japan, most foods taste similar even though they have different delicacies that come from other regions in Japan. Foods in Japan are adjusted to the local taste where most of the people prefer simple taste (just sweet or just sour, there is no sweet and sour).

Less Stress
Indonesian people in general are more relaxed compared to other Asian countries. We have our stress but not so much. This could be a good or bad thing, depends on your condition. If you are here for work, it will be a pain in the ass because Indonesian people spend their time too much on unnecessary stuffs. But if you are here for holiday, it’s like paradise.
I have to remind you though that this is not about who’s superior.
Because I believe both countries have its own positive and negative side (which I believe Japan has lot more positive compared to us). I want this short article to be considered as a reminder to Indonesian that even our country still has its awesomeness despite all of our economical and political problems.
