“Just do it” management style; Why most start-ups fail.

We are living through an unprecedented worldwide entrepreneurial renaissance but this opportunity is laced with threats because we lack consistent management for new ventures.

Entrepreneurship requires a managerial discipline to promote the entrepreneurial opportunity we have been given but unfortunately many entrepreneurs have a “just do it” attitude towards their enterprise and this way, management and discipline is not found in such venture. Some ventures are lucky enough to scale through and make some money but the rate of failure is higher compared to that of success .

A startup should have a comprehensive plan that contains vision, product development, marketing and sales, partnership, distribution, and organizational design. These things are tools that can be used to measure the progress and development of an enterprise. However, you should bear In mind that you don’t need to have a complex plan because you don’t want to make a sharp bend when you don’t even know how to handle a steering wheel. You can always adjust your business plan as time goes on so take time to grow and stay focused on getting to your destination.
