It’s In the Feeling

This is the secret sauce

Go for the feeling — I’ve heard so many times
Imagine it
then experience it
create it in your mind —
before you can even manifest it.

Strange teaching I found,
not understanding from where I was standing,
old beliefs held like a new babe to my breast —
that is was the effort and the trying
that brings success on its wing —
my mode of operating
even though I was hardly seeing
the pennies for my struggling.

But hey,
the book held the recipe
change the ingredients, who the hell was me?

Just that I knew it wasn’t working —
it took a crash and a burn,
a world spinning out of turn
for me to put the babe out with the water
and start all over.

Now see me,
writing a new story
through the eyes of one who dared to try
and live to tell a turned tale.
