JUST TO TALK ABOUT — PERSPECTIVES
OK! I wrote a book… Now what?
how to survive in a crowded market
As you’ve probably heard me say, a relatively few months ago, I published my first novel.
It is a thriller, the kind where the killer is…
One moment, I can’t tell you! What an idiot.
Joking aside, the writing itself was a gripping experience, I realised that I even felt strong emotions during some of the dozens of re-readings I had to do and, honestly, I did not expect that.
Seeing it published then, albeit without a publisher through e-commerce channels, was truly incredible as was the experience of the presentation and copy-signing.
In short, if you have ever wanted to try your hand at writing a novel, but have it stuck or locked away in your drawer, I suggest you take courage and take the plunge… it’s exciting.
What is keeping me stuck at the moment, though, is the enormous amount of work that goes on afterwards. Simply exhausting.
The publishing world, we know, is extremely competitive so how can we survive in this crowded market? How do we tell the world:
Hey! I’m here too!!!
