Colours. Colours add a sense of personality. A sense of belonging to anything you own. It’s more like a shadow of your inner thoughts being presented to the world. But most of all, it’s your creativity and vision that’s shown by the colour of your device or probably one of those skins and cases you put up on them. This article is going to focus on, do colours really enhance the overall buying experience or satisfaction or are they part of the bigger problem which we like to call, ‘Hyping It Up’.

Nokia has always been the pioneer in providing colours to it’s customers. But now everyone does it. Samsung started doing a multitude of colours starting from the S3. HTC did the One with so many colours. In fact even Apple jumped into these bandwagons with the iPhone 5C. Now, what the core question here is whether the colour of a device actually influences your ability to buy it. Motorola perfected this and look at how well the Moto X has been received. People like to customise the colours of their phones and Motorola has proved it and nailed it with the Moto X. Like would you buy a device in your favourite colour, or a device which is great but only has the colour options you hate. Sure applying a case helps, but I feel using a device bare actually gives us a better user experience altogether as cases seem to add some width at the waistline of your precious device.

The plethora of colour choices actually worked out pretty well for Nokia. Many have appreciated their constant provision of many colour options for all their devices. This is clearly shown by their fiscal report of sales and their near-complete domination of the Window’s Phone OS sphere. I feel Nokia is the driving force of this colourful revolution which will only be aggravated in the future with the rest of the companies following their footsteps, Motorola being able to even surpass them in their first attempt. So what do you think? Does colour influence your purchase? Let us know in the comments below. Don’t forget to share/subscribe/like this post if you enjoyed reading. Have a goo day ahead.
