Just Wine was created in a rather organic fashion…to impress a girl. The CEO of Mobility Quotient, the Calgary Innovation Agency that built the wine app, was on a mission. He wanted an app that he could easily use on a wine tasting weekend with his girlfriend. If you’ve ever been on a tasting tour, you know how chaotic it can get. You’re tasting dozens, if not hundreds of wines. Halfway through the tour, you’re drunk. Using Just Wine — the initial app he built in just a few days, he was able to easily keep track of the wines he drank, all while impressing his gal pal with his tech savvy know-how. The app worked, he married that girlfriend a few months later.
And here we are today. Just Wine is being used by thousands of users every day. For the newbie wino, it’s simple. Keep track of your wines with your own tasting notes. For the aficionado, tasting notes directly from wine producers and Sommeliers can help with food pairings and expanding their ever growing wine cellars.
