JustBet Migration Update #2
Moving to ERC-20 Running On Polygon (formerly Matic)
We are back with another exciting update on the progress we have made to migrate the JustBet platform to Ethereum/Polygon. As we previously highlighted, we were working through various technical issues with conversion from TRC to ERC solidity function calls and resolving Web3 front end issues.
We have made significant progress and are pleased to share some updates on what we have recently accomplished.
Current Progress
Contract conversions have shifted more to various aspects of optimisation of code so that it runs more smoothly on the Ethereum smart contracts. We have also gotten the website with Web3 connections running and are awaiting some further updates as described below so that we can start testing the games and platform soon. Below is a list of updates that were provided by the dev team:
Contracts
- Fixed ERC20List contract: tokenToSun -> tokenToWei function
- Recompiled all contacts and redeployed them to goerli
Web-app
- Changed all UIs related from Tron to Ethereum
- Made Axios wrapper which was making call for only localhost so that webapp can connect remote server
- Fixed tokenToSun function to tokenToWei
- Fixed all api url endpoints so that can call remote server which is deployed on server you provided me
- Fixed some errors calling server and web3 api functions
- Add try-catch statements for debugging api calls
API Server
- Changed tokenToSun function to call tokenToWei function in ERC20List contract [erc20list.js]
- Fixed web3 Wrapper issue, added server account privateKey
- Added USDT address manually which didn’t add after contract deployment.
- Changed web3 wallet provider from Http to Wss
- Fixed eventLoaders files (5 event loaders for each games)
Updates and Changes Being Implemented
As we have mentioned before, we are also focussing on making sure there are multiple currencies available within the platform, and preparing a bridge to ensure we can transition all of you over to the new and improved JustBet Platform. Here are a few highlights to share:
- Adding a new balance page to the website so that users can manage their balances for multiple coins.
- Plans to enable the use of WBTC, ETH, and Polygon coins. And yes we will ensure USDT is included in the platform as well
- Easier to switch between coins for gameplay
- Decoupling the minting formula from each game into a single function call
- Some minor re-architecture so that we can open the platform up to become an open source gaming environment (more to follow in the near future)
Next Steps and What’s ahead?
- Minting of WINR tokens in ERC
- Working with Bitmart to provide a transition of the tokens within the platform
- Testing the platform in the coming weeks once all of the foundation changes are completed
- Inviting a random set of community members to test the new platform and provide early feedback (still on the roadmap, hold tight!)
- Private Bridge Conversion for any users who do not move their tokens to Bitmart. Details on this will follow soon too
WINR Token Migration
Bitmart is our preferred partner for all WINR tokens from TRC20 to ERC20. We encourage all of you to temporarily deposit your WINR tokens with Bitmart.
Rest assured no one will be left behind. We will have a bridge for those who are not on Bitmart. While we prefer to have the entire process automated, we will ensure that everyone is able to convert their WINR tokens.
Once we have dates and timelines, we will announce this in advance. In the meantime, we encourage you to take this time to setup a bitmart account, https://bitmart.com, and move your WINR tokens there in anticipation of our initial WINR token conversion.
