JustBet Update On Development / Migration To ERC-20 Running On Matic
As we are progressively migrating the JustBet platform to Ethereum/Matic, we wanted to provide you with a development update on what has been accomplished to date. As we previously highlighted, there are some key tasks to complete including smart contract migration, Web3 frontend re-configuration, updates and changes to the platform itself to run on Ethereum, as well as creating a bridge to enable users to migrate their WINR tokens from the Tron network to the Ethereum network.
Current Progress
With contract conversations nearly complete, we have highlighted below the progress achieved to date. Below is a list of updates that were provided by the dev team:
- Resolved the issue when deploying the WINR contract due to Tron specific code that needed to be replaced. We have modified the WINR contract to be compatible with ERC20.
- Successfully refactored the ERC20 structure to the WINR parameters for minting and staking functions.
- Converted contract test files to Web3-based. (Note: We are still in the process of connecting the new contracts to the frontend)
- Started working on converting server-API from tronWeb to Web3.js based.
- The first round of the smart contracts has been deployed on the Goerli test network.
- Tested the contracts on the Goerli test network.
- Finished the conversion except for the “services” part; Finished “service” part, which is including the EventLoaders.
- Finished concept and design of the new wallet page to display multiple coins and balances in use on a single page.
- USD Oracle implemented: This will ensure that regardless of token used, all users will receive the same number of WINR from minting based upon USD value.
- Updating statistics on the website based upon interval-based USD value updates.
Updates and Changes Being Implemented
As you may have noted above, there are some changes or additions being made to the platform. These include
- Adding a new balance page to the website so that users can manage their balances for multiple coins.
- Plans to enable the use of WBTC, ETH, and Matic coins.
- Modification to the way the website looks in relation to the re-basing the platform to display USD value across all coins in use in order to simplify both the minting, ease of receiving rewards for staking, and showing total transactional values across the platform.
- Easier to switch between coins for gameplay.
- Major updates to the WINR minting. Based upon feedback the model has been modified to a curved yield (from a linear one) and creates a far more fair minting for all users. We have revised the WINR minting algorithm to make sure it is both fair and incentivizes users to play to mint. (Details of the minting formula updates will be published soon to ensure our community has insight into what lies behind the WINR mining algorithm).
- Added 5 Matic airdrops for everyone that deposits, so their gameplay can be absolutely transaction / fee-free.
- We are fixing an issue related to the lottery contracts that were present in the Tron chain.
Next Steps and What’s ahead?
- Completing Web3 migration and deploying to the Ropsten testnet for further tests, and addressing all of the additional fixes required highlighted above.
- We will be inviting a random set of community members to test the new platform and provide early feedback.
- Bridge Conversion: Providing users with a means to convert their WINR tokens from the Tron network to the Ethereum network.
- Internal Bridge for ETH/Matic: We are working on a bridge for Ethereum to Matic deposits and Matic to Ethereum withdrawals seamlessly for user experience. At the current state, users have to manually connect to a Matic node through their Metamask We want to automate this process as much as possible, to present a centralized-like experience to the users, while everything remains decentralized.
One Additional Note About WINR Token Migration
We also have confirmed with Bitmart that they will support the conversion of all WINR tokens on their exchange from TRC20 WINR to ERC20 WINR. After this period, we will deploy a bridge (mentioned above) that users will be able to use on the website to migrate their tokens into ERC20 WINRs.
We highly recommend that you do not have a Bitmart account to set an account up for migration purposes. This will be the easiest way to have your tokens migrated without having to do anything yourselves.
We know that you have been eagerly waiting for the launch and are as excited as you are to see this finally go live. We will be updating you with further progress as soon as it becomes available.
