Netflix in March— What are You Doing for the Break?

Can’t wait for the second season of Jessica Jones!

The lunchroom and water cooler areas are particularly busy on Mondays; everyone is catching up with colleagues after the weekend. While my weekends are all about brunch and watching the latest Marvel blockbuster #blackpanther, it seems like everyone else’s Saturdays and Sundays are spent driving their kids around to various activities and birthday parties. March Break is starting soon but I can’t figure out whether this is a break for parents or not!

To all the children, show your parents some love and appreciation! March Break may be a break for you, but not for them. To all the parents, all is not lost. Your kids may tire you out, but there’s one thing that is loyal to you, relaxes you, and does everything you want without the hassle — Netflix. March is a great month to kick up your feet after the kids fall asleep. This is what’s coming out this month:

Notable New Releases

• Jessica Jones Season 2 — calling at Marvel fans, Jessica is finally back after 3 years to kick some butt. Kilgrave was the big Season 1 villain but who will it be in this next season? I hope Netflix does a good job here because The Defenders was average at best.
• Santa Clarita Diet Season 2 — do you love zombies? I do! After I gave up on The Walking Dead, I have been looking for another zombie show to watch and Santa Clarita popped up. This is not the first time that someone tried to make undead corpses funny (Shaun of the Dead, anyone?) but Drew Barrymore being a half zombie is certainly a new twist.
• A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2 — I love Neil Patrick Harris so anything with him is a treat for me. NPH stars as Count Olaf, an eccentric, scheming relative who attempts to claim the family fortune.

Heavy Hitters

• The Fast & the Furious franchise — one of the longest running action film series is coming on-demand! Extremely fast cars, inexplicable stunts and Vin Diesel — the perfect Wednesday night movie when combined with Domino’s Pizza. #ripPaulWalker
• 300 — watching clips from this Frank Miller classic is daily pre-workout motivation. What’s better than Gerard Butler running around fighting rhinos and elephants? THIS IS SPARTA!

These are just what I am excited for, but there are a ton more! What will you be watching?
