This will be more of a series than just one time post on web development including code lessons “coming soon” mainly for those journeying into web design and web development.

I was inspired by my EkoBits Students during our web development course as the concept was properly dealt with. hopefully achieve same effect here. “fingers crossed”

Okay! Let’s END this — Web Development

Web Development refers to a very broad scope of work, all of which is connected to the internet or World Wide Web. This can range from developing a website, a private network (intranet), a simple static page of plain text or more complex web-based internet applications, blogs, web shops or dating
websites.

Most often, web development does not refers to the design aspects of building websites, but rather to the technical, non-design aspects, by which we mean coding.

Web development (Front-end, back-end & full-stack)

large organizations and businesses (think about Google or Facebook), have web development teams that can consist of hundreds of people (web developers), and follow standard methods like Agile methodologies while developing websites. But lately, online platforms make it possible for web developers to work as freelancers from home on software tasks. There are three kinds of web developer specialization: front-end developer, back-end developer, and full-stack developer. Source (@wikipedia)

Web design

I know already what’s the difference between a web designer and a front-end developer… the difference is in the word Designer & Developer. The designer uses tools such as Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, Sketch and the likes, main focus is the general structure of the web application WHILE The developer makes the design come to functional using markup language, styling and Scripts (html, css, js, php, python etc).

Final thought

Don’t let the jargon fool you, They are in the same family, next post will talk about the different web developer specifications we have, and how front-end developer compares with web designer.

Let me know your thoughts in the comment below or just give it a clap if it helped clarify anything.

Thank You for your time.
