When I was training at Elite Performance sweating my balls off

Hacking my flow state

How can I become the best version of myself in all aspects?

If there is anything that I read, listen to podcasts, and seek advice on it’s about becoming the most productive, efficient version of myself. Many have told me that I am one of the most positive people that have met. Some criticize me for the positive quotes, listening to Zig Ziglar, or reading Tony Robbins.. But guess what. I do not give a hot shit what anyone thinks about me. In the past year alone I have taken on a more challenging role at work within the same company, joined the best gym facility in Winnipeg that professional athletes train at, meal prepping all of my meals and remaining extremely disciplined, travelled to Australia on my own, ended a four year relationship which was difficult but necessary, lived on my own for the first time, found an incredible roommate that has shown me a much more creative side of myself, surrounded by strong female friends, attending seminars like International Womens Day, GetMotivated, and Liver/Brain/ Gut health, read the most I have ever read, visited an old friend in Jasper for a hiking trip, organized a team for Motional for the Special Olympics, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. These are all goals that have inspired me. Things I have written down and committed to. None of us know how much time we have on this earth. There is always going to be an excuse to put off the things that we truly yearn for.

“The best moments in our lives are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times… The best moments usually occur if a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile.” ~ Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi (1990, p. 3) author of Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience

Flow: In positive psychology, flow, also known as the zone, is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by complete absorption in what one does.

“People are not lazy. They simply have impotent goals — that is, goals that do not inspire them.”
