It’s been a busy week at Justworks. Read on for the updates now available:

FSA and HSA Renewals

From November 11th to the 22nd, employers currently offering an FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and/or HSA (Health Savings Account) can make adjustments to and/or cancel their offerings for the 2020 plan year. Plans go into effect on January 1, 2020.

End of Year Task Page

The End of year task page provides you and your team an easy place to track and input all tasks required to close out the year. You can now collect or record everything you need to close out the year in Justworks, including the ability to record manual payments made outside of Justworks, Medical, dental, and vision contributions to >2% S-Corp shareholders, and equity-based income. We’ve got your back and created a task for all the things you need to do, so go and check it out.

401(k) Overview Page & YTD Contributions

We are introducing a 401(k) Overview Page in your Benefits Center. The 401(k) Overview Page will show your contributions thus far this year, and other details about your 401(k) elections.

Set Foreign Visa Tax Exemptions in Justworks

Employees on certain types of visas (e.g. F-1, J-1) are exempt from FICA/FUTA taxes. Now, Admins with the “Manage Employees” permission will be able to set an employee’s tax exemption status by going to the employee’s profile > Job information > Edit current position > Tax exemption.

Record Prepaid Amounts for Vendors in Justworks

Admins with the “Manage employees” permission are now able to record payments made to vendors outside of Justworks. Additionally, admins can set whether or not they would like Justworks to file vendor 1099s on their behalf.
