11/30/18: New Jersey Sick Leave Notice, 2019 FSAs and SUI Improvements
2019 FSAs
Starting Next Tuesday, 12/4/2018, employees will be able to sign up for 2019 FSAs. Once you sign up, you have until 12/14/2018 to contribute.
Employees can also sign up for 2019 HSAs, but remember if you have access to an HSA, you can do this at any time!
Springsteen, Sopranos & Sick Leave
On 11/29/2018 New Jersey passed a law giving all employees the right to accrue up to 40 hours of early sick leave per year and have access to their Notice of Employee Rights. If you have employees working in New Jersey, we added a copy of this notice to their document center.
After today, all new hires working in New Jersey, or employees that move to New Jersey, will also get a copy of this document within a day after hire or relocation.
State Unemployment Insurance Improvements
Starting today, when a new company signs up for Justworks they will automatically receive an email notice alerting them that 1) they have an employe or office in a client-reporting state and 2) that Justworks will collect important information early in on-boarding to ensure their tax filing and billing is accurate.
Rest assured, this notice will include all the relevant information and state-specific instructions for where to find this information. And that’s so amazing!
