We’ve added more ways to set up your company’s PTO policies and have made changes to provide additional support for newly terminated employees
Hello and welcome to Changelog, your weekly roundup of everything new in Justworks. This week we’re excited to launch enhancements to our PTO tools and have updated resources to assist recently terminated employees. We also have new resources for you and your team surrounding COVID-19.

1. PTO Enhancements — Daily Accrual on Anniversary
We are so excited to announce that you can now create a PTO accrual policy that is based on an employee’s work anniversary date. This new feature increases the types of PTO policies you can create in Justworks and provides additional flexibility when crafting and assigning PTO policies to employees. You can use this feature by clicking “Time off” > “Add new policy” in Justworks.
2. Changes to Assist Recently Terminated Employees
Leaving a company can be a complicated experience for an employee. To best support employees when they’re leaving a company on Justworks, we improved the email communication that they receive upon termination.
The email communication now explains what happens to an employee’s benefits if they were enrolled in company sponsored benefits, includes helpful information to navigate the health insurance marketplace, and includes additional resources for the employee to reference to navigate the transition. The email improvement helps answer common questions and provide former employees with additional tools to transition from a company.
