“There is no more action or decision in our day than there is perilous delight in swimming in shallow waters.”

A great piece by 1517 Fund on what it means to be courageous. As the authors write, there can be no safety without dangerous ideas.

Safety can be dangerous. In complex systems, too much concern for safety for the parts can create a dangerous fragility in the whole. Thus, trying to save every single tree from potential fires makes the forest as a whole denser and even more combustible in the long run.
