The evolution of the Spanish VC ecosystem
A couple of weeks ago, during our annual K Day, I gave a short presentation about the past, present and future of the Spanish VC landscape.
The analysis is based on data that I’ve been manually collecting since 2013 and excludes public funding sources (ENISA, CDTI and similar investment vehicles) and sectors such as biotech or pharma.
If you read through the presentation, you’ll notice that some figures for 2018 are estimates. Based on the number of rounds and investment volume that had been closed at the time of the presentation (early June), I extrapolated what 2018 might end up looking like.
