The Message was very simple. The message is clear and that “Jesus loves you and wants to save you”. He was the voice in the wilderness like John the Baptist, Paul and even Moses. His job was to spread the Gospel; “The Good News” to every man, woman, boy and girl circling the world many times over. That man, William Franklin Graham, Jr aka Billy Graham.

When I heard about his passing at age 99 years-old, I believe Billy was ready and he expect to be home on the other side standing before the Lord. He said many times,”I look forward to heaven. I look forward to the reunion with friends and loved ones who have on before. I look forward to Heaven’s freedom from sorrow and pain. I also look forward to serving God in ways we can’t begin to imagine…And most of all, I look forward to seeing Christ and bowing before Him in Praise and gratitude from all He has done…”

This humble farm boy from North Carolina was the young man who became a friend and adviser to 12 U.S. presidents and countless number of world leaders that would sit, listen and gave advice to. This is the same humble preacher that trained countless numbers of preachers in order for them to, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” Mark 16:15.

The Billy Graham Evangelist Association traveled the world over spreading the Good News for all to hear for more than 60 years; that was the mission he was giving, a mandate from God until recently. Now his journey has been complete, his voice silenced but the work continues although this great champion, a giant for the Gospel has now gone to meet our Lord.

We celebrate the life of one of “God’s General” and the work he did.
