Don’t Just Sit There, Do Something!

The 2024 Presidential Election is getting close and this is THE most important election yet where “the soul of our nation” is in perils while our rights, those basic fundamental rights are at risk.
Remember, our nation is divided and there are those who want to stop at anything to reverse those things that are right to the things that end up wrong.
The fabric of democracy has been split asunder while violence is being provoked by the MAGA people while being prompted by a “Supreme Leader” who wants to hold on to power to perhaps do more damage where damage has been done already.
Fires has been fueled on issues of interest while some really do not care about the people but only for themselves. The time has come for more action and less lip service from those who has registered to vote even after the blood sweat and tears that took to be able for African Americans to get and vote.
Now, this is where you the voter come in.
First, register to vote wherever state and city you live.
Second, decide on the party of your choice of the candidate you support.
Third, GO OUT AND VOTE!!!!!
This will be the most important election year as current president Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump square off in a battle for once again, the soul of the nation. As for me and my wife, we will be up that night to witness it instead of waking up the next morning to find out the results.
Here is a word to the wise, if you do not vote, you need NOT to complain if the candidate you voted for or not vote for did not win.
Trump already said if does not win “it will be a bloodbath!” Hopefully not another January 6 incident like before or folks in white sheets come and start burning down people’s homes just for the hell of it.
Not long ago, I was in the doctor’s office and there were two, yes two Trump thumpers sitting in the waiting room. CNN had a story on the up coming debate which was days away. Then, a Biden television ad was on and he started bad mouthing the current president saying his ad was a bunch of bull and that’s when I thought to myself, this guy must of drunk the Trump kool aid believing the many lies he has told to us since day 1.
That is when I remembered these two Trump thumpers although they are wrapped too tight, they have that First Amendment right to agree to disagree and that’s where I just smiled and kept it moving.
This is my opinion, Trump should not be elected for a second term because of the mess he gotten himself into with women in general. “Grab the women by the pussy”; what the hell is wrong with this man and what was he thinking? What was he smoking?
If President Obama would said that out loud, Mrs. Obama would put her husband in the doghouse until his term is over and done; Mrs. O don’t play that!
Trump said is the Black Community’s “best friend” and that is a dirty rotten lie. Sure, he had Congress give those who were need during the pandemic a little money to get through it, but on the other side of that, he wanted to give deep cuts to Social Security and food stamps especially for those senior citizens who struggle monthly.
As for that border situation, he was dead wrong for not allowing those crossing the border for a better life and those same spanish speaking citizens are the best workers. Not all of those who crossed over are not criminals but most are families looking for a life better than were they left.
Alright folks, that’s my two cents, see you at the polls…..
