Who’s Occupying Your Thoughts?
By Kenneth R. Jenkins
“Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about the things down here on earth.” Colossians 3:2 (New Living Translation)
Does someone ask you what’s on your mind? Probably wondering if anything is wrong or if you have something to say to someone but just don’t know how to say it.
There are times we let things cloud our minds not thinking clearly on decisions we need to take in our every day lives. It’s very essential not letting anything or anyone “pollute” our minds with lot’s of junk. Junk we watch on television, music we listen to, people we surround ourselves with that may be unhealthy for us.
The Scripture reminds us to keep heavenly things and thoughts on our minds and put it off our minds and not worry about those things down here on earth. In fact, the best place to get rid of “junk thoughts” is in God’s garbage can; The Word of God and yes even prayer.
One more thing: keep Jesus on our minds, He is the most important person you need on your mind all the time and all our lives.
