It’s been hotter than usual this June. The cats in our two households had similar responses.

Our grey tabby Gus enjoys lying in the sunshine in our open door
Gus says, the sunshine doesn’t bother me!
Orange tabby Grandkitty Buoy chooses to sleep soundly
Grandkitty Bouy chooses to relax
Grandkitty Elvis, a tuxedo, relaxes but keeps one eye open
Grandkitty Elvis takes advantage of a nap but keeps his eye open for any action
Grandkitty Fredo, a growing grey tabby, is ready for playtime
Grandkitty Fredo says hey, I’m up for play
Our white kitty with grey tabby markings, Nugget, wants to play with someone
Nugget says, hey, come and play with me
Our tuxedo cat Bootsie is lying on his back on a dining room chair
Bootsie says, how about hide and seek?
Our white kitty with black markings and a mask, Bandit, sleeps in our dining room window
Bandit: Nah, it’s 90 now. Time for a cat nap.

Everyone hopes July won’t have so many heat waves.
