Intermittent fasting is a term used to describe a non-specific fast. The premise behind intermittent fasting is to get the body used to using fat for energy in a healthy, natural way. Over the last five years or so, this diet has become a craze in the dieting community and everybody seems to be championing it.

There are several options on how to follow an intermittent fasting diet. Here are our top 4 examples. Determine which is best for you by trying them out!

Option 1: Weekly Fasting

This is a moderate alternative of Intermittent fasting, the user choses to completely fast for 18–20 hours once per week. In this option, you would eat typically over the week, and then pick one day to eat minimally. Since sleep time counts, try finishing up a dinner the night before by 7pm then fast until 3 pm the following day. Basically, you’ll be skipping one breakfast and going for a late lunch.
