Thanks to the participation of all Kabicians, our Beta release was a success. We were able to complete most of our goals for the Beta and collect a lot of game data. This data will greatly help us with the preparation of the official launch. We also received a lot of feedback from the community, such valuable information make it clear for us what is the main interest of the players and how we should adjust our priority.

Beta Summary

The Beta was launched from 20th to 30th of October and we recorded impressive numbers:

  • Registered Accounts: 2,495 accounts
  • Games being played: 60,373 games
  • Average games per day: 10.57 games

There were nearly 2,500 registered accounts; 80% of them were Free-to-play players who joined with no NFT heroes. On average, an account would play 10 games per day.

Kaby Arena employs a data-driven development approach where most game development decision-making will be guided and supported by the collected data.

There were various statistics we collected during the Beta. Such statistics will play an important role in shaping up and fine tune in-game mechanics. For example, the premium players — F2P players rate would dictate number of players will receive the reward and how much the reward will be. At the same time, the average games per day stat would help us design the duration of a game or the speed of the autoplay feature.

Beta Winner List

We are also happy to announce the Beta leaderboard winner list at: https://play.kabyarena.com/
The rewards will be sent to the winners’ wallet on 6th, Nov.

What we have accomplished during the Beta:

Test our mainnet & core features

Our mainnet had been functioning during the Beta with no downtime and most of the players didn’t experience any problem at all. Some complaints we received were actually about having issues with Wallet plugins settings rather than the connection to our game server. The only concern was the failure to load game resources on client side on some device. We have gradually addressed this problem with updates during Beta and will continue optimizing the resources in the future release.

Simulate the game economy

We have run simulations about our reward model during Beta and make necessary adjustment to the game economy to ensure sustainability and stability. Details can be found here in the previous post.

Collect bug report automatically and from the users

For bugs, we had implemented an automatic bug report mechanism to run in the background so that even when the users do not notice or forget to report bugs, we would still be able to find them in our logs. Most of the bugs that are reported by the users or collected automatically by us have already been addressed during the Beta.

Thank to the participation of Kabicians, we are able to make improvements based on the data collected from the Beta. Stay tuned for our next update about the improvements in our official launch and our Vision for Kaby Arena!
