Introducing Kadira Genie
We started Kadira in early 2014. Since then, we’ve helped a lot of Meteor developers to fine-tune their apps and improve performance. We’ve also created a bunch of Meteor apps and back-end systems that scale pretty well.
We’ve had major scaling issues and some downtimes. We figured out ways to solve those issues and make Kadira as scalable as we are right now.
Now we are going to share our knowledge and experience with a brand-new project.
Meet Kadira Genie
Kadira Genie is a personal assistant who looks after your app 24/7. He watches your app for performance and security issues constantly. If there is an issue, Genie will figure out why. Then he’ll work with your team to solve that issue.
Kadira Genie also helps you optimize your app in terms of CPU usage, response time, and memory leak debugging.
For an example, Kadira Genie can find CPU costly subscriptions in your app and help you optimize that. Here’s a real-life use case:
Daily Fantasy Nerd runs on Modulus and it was consuming a lot of CPU and Memory. It needed around 100 servos to handle nearly 300 concurrent users.
Just after Daily Fantasy Nerd starting to use Kadira Genie, Genie found out which publications were causing CPU issues in his app.
Then, Genie helped to optimize those publications.
As a result, Daily Fantasy Nerd could reduce the number of servos from 100 to 10. That was a huge performance gain.
How does Kadira Genie work?
Basically, Kadira Genie uses a wide range of automated tools to crunch the data we receive from your app to find issues. He also checks your app externally, too. Then, he validates those issues with our human experts and notifies you with a solution.
You can also work with our experts to fix those issues.
Once you’ve registered with Kadira Genie, he’ll share a Trello board with your team.
As Genie finds issues, he’ll put those issues on the Trello board. If those issues are critical, he can call/SMS your team as well.
