Starting your own at home garden is a fun and easy way to make fresh healthy food and reduce stress.

Gardening has many benefits and it is so simple that anyone can do it. You don’t have to start out with a huge backyard garden that takes hours to care for, you can just buy two or three pots and start from there.

Some of the easiest things to plant are basil and cilantro. They only need to be watered once a day and then left alone.

These starting herbs are great because they only take a few months to develop and you can make a plethora of dishes with them. Cilantro can be the star of home-made salsa, and basil can top off almost any pasta you make.

The fresh flavors of these plants are undeniable. You can impress any guest with the simplest of recipes.

Without any preservatives added, or them sitting in the store for days on end, your home grown herbs are the freshest you will ever taste. It’s cheaper than having to buy them, and they are completely organic as you know exactly where they came from-your own backyard!

Now that you are convinced to plant basil and cilantro, here’s how you do it.

All you need for these plants is a pot, soil, water, and the sun. You will need to get a pot that is roughly ten inches wide. This is enough for one plant.

Next, for the soil you will want to get potting soil which comes with fertilizer to make your plants happy. It’s much better than any dirt from your backyard.
