Nicki Minaj Has Been Sending Money for Years to Develop a Small Indian Village
She kept it quiet until now.
Forgiver of student debt and queen of our hearts, Nicki Minaj has reportedly been sending money to a small village in India for years. Because of her donations, the village (she didn’t reveal the name) has two water wells, a Tailoring Institute, and a computer center.
“We complain about the most ridiculous little things when some ppl don’t even have clean water,” she wrote on Instagram. “Blessings to India. Our work is far from done. I’ll tell you guys more about my charity work in the near future in case you’d like to be a part of it.”
Her charity work also focused specifically on ensuring women in the area had access to resources and education.
“I’m so proud of our sisters in India,” Minaj wrote in a second Instagram post. “Their desire was to have water wells & places where they can worship, places where they can learn technology, computers, reading, etc. We’re just getting started. These women are us and we are them!”
Minaj was in the news recently for spending around $20 thousand to help fans pay off student loans and pay for tuition. As if you needed another reason to love her.
