Renewable Energy

Many people believe that global warming is not real. Well they are wrong. Global warming is real. Very real. We, as citizens of the world, must see and recognize that global warming is a problem, and people need to understand that the methods that we are using today will limit our natural resources and make global warming grow.

A way to protect our limited resources for energy is to use renewable energy. Some of the methods uses solar, wind, and hydro turbines.

Solar energy is popular in the United States. Solar energy is created by using solar panels to collect the sunlight, and then the sunlight is converted into thermal or electrical energy. Using solar panels saves a significant amount of money. Energy can even be stored when the sun has already set. Solar panels can be placed almost anywhere, such as the top of roofs and deserts.

Wind turbines use the force of the wind to turn the propellers to collect energy for the making of electrical energy. Wind energy is efficient and the cost is much cheaper than fracking for oil.

Hydro turbines, or water turbines, uses the flow of water to generate energy. When water flows through a propeller, electrons from the water is collected. Hydro turbines are not too popular because it does take a lot of water pressure to push the propeller to collect energy.

The use of fossil fuels is causing global warming to rise rapidly. The amount of energy it takes to drill for oil releases a ton of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

I believe that people can reduce the use of fossil fuels and learn to use renewable sources to help lower the amount of carbon dioxide that is released in the atmosphere. This way, we can slow global warming little by little.
