The ideal candidate will be someone wanting to have a positive impact on the community and will help our members provide value to our partners and the community. CEO, Kansas City Augmented Intelligence Lab

Kansas City AI Lab is an experiment in disruption. We are passionate about empowering Kansas Citians to revolutionize the Big Data industry by using data, analytics, and machine learning to solve societal and organizational challenges.

We are focused on three key capabilities:

1. Free Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence training for those who are committed to using data to transform the world for good.
2. Consulting services for organizations who want to leverage the power of data.
3. Independent research in pursuit of intellectual property.

2018 has been a big year for KCAIL! We are halfway through our first cohort of free training; we are actively pursuing strategic and consultancy partnerships, and we’ve begun to streamline our processes to move us into our next phase: growth.

We are looking for a CEO who will bring organizational structure and public exposure to our group of data nerds. We are passionate about what we do and we’re looking for someone to capitalize on that passion and propel us into the future.

In particular, we are looking for someone who has:

• An egoless leadership style: puts others first and has a desire to put others in a position to succeed.
• A strong network on which KCAIL can grow its future. Experience in community outreach, development, and/or fundraising in a startup environment is highly desired
• 10+ years of experience as a leader, preferably in a startup. From our perspective, leadership starts with passion and is fortified by clear milestones that are driven by incredible strategic goals. We are on a mission to change Kansas City and we want someone who will push us to ever greater heights.
• A strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is preferred but not required.

Compensation: there is no salary associated with this position until revenue-generating partnerships are developed. Initially, compensation will be based on equity in KCAIL through the assignment of shares. Our new CEO will be passionate about converting our deep trove of energy into revenue-generating opportunities.
