The Kapor Center Celebrates Pride Month with the Distance Traveled Story of our Senior Accountant Jesse Burger
As Pride month comes to a close, we are proud to share the distance traveled story of our Senior Accountant, Jesse Burger. For many members of the LGBTQ community, Pride month can represent many different things. For some, Pride month can be a time of celebration, a time of remembrance, a time of strength, a time to acknowledge the progress that has been made for members of the LGBTQ community or to acknowledge the progress that has yet to come.
For Jesse Burger, Pride month is a time of celebration. Jesse is many things. He is a loving partner to his spouse, a senior accountant at the Kapor Center, an artist, an advocate for the LGBTQ community, a son, a sibling, and so much more. He is more than how he chooses to identify himself, as transmasculine.
Jesse’s distance traveled story is just that, a journey. Jesse not only talks about his experience coming out to his friends, family and in the workplace, but he talks about living his life as his true authentic self. His story is not only powerful but is a true example of just how brave and inspiring he is.
