Before the WeWork overhaul

It’s nearly Thanksgiving — which means it’s almost time for my sister to force everyone at the table to articulate our deepest appreciation for the good in our lives. Traditionally this is met with groans and then pursed lips as we are forced to recall that we all really do have a lot going for us. (APP IDEA: Thanksgiving What-I’m-Thankful-For Generator)

This year is a pretty easy one, though. For Karate Health recently, we’ve had the great fortune to get connected with WeWork and to be a part of the Mission Possible program in Washington, DC. After our return from NYC, Arif and I were dreading the possibility of returning to working out of our apartments. The WeWork Manhattan Laundry space on Florida Ave. is beautiful, comfortable, and full of the types of people that inspire us to work even harder.

In fact, this has been a pretty huge month for us. A few weeks ago, we launched a website — LupusCorner.com — that makes high-quality and scientifically accurate information about lupus available for our users. We wanted the website to be a pleasure to use, just like the Karate Health app, so we focused on clean, elegant stylings. So far, the response has been great! And who wouldn’t be thankful for that!?
